Claire Buysse is a Researcher on the Heavy-Duty Vehicles program team. Since joining the ICCT in 2020, she has worked to inform light- and heavy-duty vehicle emission standards and electrification policy in Europe and North America. Claire holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the College of Saint Benedict and a Master’s degree in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Washington. Prior to joining the ICCT, she conducted research on urban air quality in the United States. She also works as a research consultant on clean energy policy in the Pacific Northwest, including industrial decarbonization and the equitable development of a clean energy workforce. When she’s not working, you can find her scouring the local farmers’ market for the best nectarines.
