Working at the ICCT
We are engineers, chemists, biologists, physicists, lawyers, economists, and policymakers working side-by-side to provide relevant, rigorous, unbiased research and technical and scientific analysis to government officials around the world.
The ICCT is proud to be both a leader in technical expertise and in employee satisfaction. We are proud that we were recognized as a Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the Nation” by Best and Brightest in 2023, the result of unsparing investment in employee well-being, benefits, and organization-wide events. We also offer flexible work options and excellent work/life balance.
Staff benefits
ICCT provides a comprehensive and generous benefits package including multiple options for medical coverage, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, and paid time off. We provide excellent benefits differing by region. Some of these include a clean transit subsidy, professional development, office events, and staff retreats, just to name a few. In the United States, we offer an automatic 7% contribution to employees’ 401(k).
Internships & Fellowships
We help train the next generation of transportation policy analysts by hiring individuals who possess the intelligence, willingness, dedication, and maturity to take on this enormous responsibility. Our interns and fellows play an active role in a variety of our current projects. Over the course of an internship or fellowship, our interns and fellows work directly with ICCT researchers and policy analysts in one or more program areas. Our summer internship program is targeted toward students and recent graduates, for a duration of 10–12 weeks. Our fellowships last between 6–12 months. Internships and fellowships are paid full-time or part-time positions, and include many of the benefits received by full-time staff.
